Sam – the guy behind the curtain, or at least the media screen!
Sam has been the magic behind the technical aspects of Sunday morning services. He has been a part of the St. Mark’s family since 2022. He runs the livestream and audio for those not able to meet at the church to worship in person, and makes sure the technology within the building is running smoothly.
Sam joined the staff of St. Mark’s after college. He had experience working in churches and knew it would be a good fit using his talents effectively and efficiently. Boy is that true! Sam fits right in and provides that technical service that helps St. Mark’s reach out beyond the walls of the church building - ‘doing good’ with the knowledge he has to make a difference for others.
When asked what his favorite part is about St. Mark’s, Sam doesn’t hesitate - “the people! They are some of the kindest you’ll ever know.”
Outside of St. Mark’s, Sam is a videographer at T.V. news channel KCRG in Cedar Rapids. When he’s not behind the camera, he enjoys playing tabletop games with his friends. He and his partner have 2 rabbits – Milo and Elliott.
